This page will serve as the primary information point for Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM) related activities and activations within the state of Florida. Florida is in the process of transitioning to an “AUXCOMM” state meaning that all deployable volunteers will be required to complete their AUXCOMM course and taskbook as required by the Office of the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator.
The primary contact for AUXCOMM related activities is David Byrum-KA4EBX and the Amateur Radio Liaison to the State is Arc Thames-W4CPD. Each Florida Disaster region has an AUXCOMM Coordinator that you may reach out to for questions related to the program. For current statewide activation information, please click here.
